Low Interest Loans for May 30 storm impacted residents

Douglas County has secured a Small Business Administration Disaster Declaration for business owners, primary homeowners and renters from the May 30 tornado. This declaration will provide an opportunity for low interest loans. To request a Small Business Administration (SBA) declaration there has to be 25 destroyed homes from one incident with a 40% underinsured rate. The May 12 tornado/derecho did not meet this threshold which is why the county could not request it for that storm. Learn more by reading the news release from the SBA.
