The Douglas County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, March 17 and made several decisions to respond responsibly to COVID- 19 and the social distancing guidelines currently in place.  Board members and those attending the meeting had the opportunity to call in or use a web feature. This helped ensure everyone was six feet apart.

The board voted that department heads within the county will be allowed to enact temporary service delivery changes during this pandemic. The expectation is staff will continue to work, exterior doors to the public will remain open and residents’ needs will be met. Some service counters may be temporarily closed. The public will be given notice of any closures through signage in the buildings, local media, social media and digital billboards.
