Complainant/Victim: Todd Eddy Wunderlich, age 54 of Parkers Prairie, MN
Case Details:
On November 9, 2017 the Douglas County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Ottertail County Sheriff's Office and relayed information of a farming accident believed to be in Douglas County. Intially, the exact location of the accident was unknown. The two Sheriff's Offices were able to determine the location was in a corn field near the above address near Miltona, MN. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Miltona Fire and First Responders, North Ambulance, Parkers Prairie Ambulance and LifeLink III medical helicopter responded to the scene. Emergency personel arrived on scene and found the adult male victim alert and conscious but had his arm pinned in a corn picker. The victim had been trapped in the machinery for about an hour until Miltona Fire Dept personnel were able to extricate his arm. The male subject was flown by LifeLink III to North Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
It appears the victim was working in a corn field driving a farm tractor with a pull-behind corn picker. The victim stopped the tractor and tried to clear something from the corn picker and got his arm trapped.
