WIC

Women - Pregnant or breastfeeding

Infants - up to one year of age

Children - age one to five

Do you qualify or know someone who would qualify for free supplemental foods, nutrition education and parenting ideas? Then WIC is the place for you. Save on food costs, receive prenatal and breastfeeding support and referrals to other services available in our county. Many working families are eligible for this service.

A new process for determining income eligibility for some applicants with higher incomes will begin November 1, 2008.

As always, WIC applicants may qualify by bringing proof of income when income is at or below these amounts:

Household Size
Yearly
Income
1
$ 20,036
2
26,955
3
33,874
4
40,793
5
47,712
6
54,631
7
61,550
8
68,469
9
75,388
10
82,307

Applicants may also qualify by bringing proof of enrollment in one or more of the following programs:

      • Medical Assistance (MA)
      • Minnesota Care
      • MFIP
      • Food Stamps
      • Fuel Assistance
      • Headstart
      • Free/Reduced Price School Lunch
      • SSI

Families with incomes higher than the incomes listed above will still qualify for WIC if eligibility for Medical Assistance, Minnesota Care, or TEFRA is established.
